I have converted MP3 files using SD JUKBOX, and sent to my SD card . How can I back up the files THAT ARE on the SD card. If I can't back them up, then I have to start all over again If I lose the SD card.

The back-up placev is in SD Jukebox on your computer - from which you can take 3 copies and back to which you can put those copies if you wish...

I don't know if you guys are aware of the SD Jukebox Version 5. I had the same backup problem as you guys and of course you can't backup up an encrypted SD card, you have to re-record everything.
But you can do it a lot faster with the version 5. I had over 500 minutes of songs for my disco on one SD card and I did it in a short time! First you don't have to convert the files onto the PC, rename them and then check them to the SD card. The program does it all in one operation and as a bonus you don't have the 3 times checkin restriction anymore. It's now unlimited recording!

Check it out Smile

Hi Mordicus - am I right in assuming that having collected all these files so speedily onto an SD Card you are NOT then playing them out through a KN7000 keyboard?

Hi Roger, I don't really understand your question...

Having used SD Jukebox version 5 to transfer some audio files to and SD Card, do you then place that SD card in a KN7000 keyboard and play those audio files through the keyboard?
My reason for asking is that I had the impression that the only version of SD Jukebox that converts audio files to a format that can be played in a Technics KN7000 keyboard is version 2.4 which was specially designed/programmed for this purpose...

I had the same impression as you, Rog, until someone talked about this version 5 (on this site I think) and so I tried it and it worked fine for me.
You see, it took me a lot of work and time to put all these Mp3's on the SD card using the old 2.4 version(one by one) and I would have to redo it all to finally have a backup.
You must be wondering...why so many mp3's? The reason for that is when I go out for a gig I only have to take my KN7000, my mixer and 2 powered speakers. No need for a computer setup to play music in between my live sets. Everything is on my SD card! Even the backup voices needed on some live songs. This KN7000 is a beauty!
By the way I think this SD-Jukebox V5 is the only one apart the V2.4 that works fine with the original Panasonic Usb Reader. The other versions just don't recognize it.

Oh right - I never knew that...may I ask where you got version 5 from if you can remember.
Your style of gigging and 'discoing' is exactly the same as mine plus I also work with three female singers - see www.thethreetones...
I wonder whether I might have some song specific style files that might be useful to you...

Sorry about that, Rog, I have it installed on my computer but I can't remember where I got it from. I think somebody I knew had the installation program on a cd that came with his Panasonic Mp3 Player. Maybe you'll be able to find it on the net.
